Basic Daily Routines
The daily routine for each age group provides a wide variety of stimulating activities designed to promote and broaden key aspects of a child's development. Each day is planned and implemented by the managers and key workers to satisfy structured overrall educational and development goals.
Daily Routine for 0-2 yrs
The staff ratio for 0-2 year olds is set at a minimum of 1 member of staff to 3 children
This is the basic routine that we follow everyday and we are flexible to childrens own routines when it comes to bottle feeding times and sleep times
All nappies are checked routinely at 10:30, 12:30, 14:30 and 16:30 and action taken to ensure children remain comfortable throughout the day if neccessary.

| 10.00 - 10.30 | Snack time - tasting different fruits, exploring different textures and developing social skills |
| 10.30 - 11.45 | Planned activties and Messy play - developing skills in a range of activities such as; |
| 11.45 - 12.00 | Story, song/nursery rhyme time - developing early Communication, Language and Literacy skills |
| 12.00 - 12.30 | Lunch time - developing new tastes and social skills |
| 12.30 - 14.45 | Rest / Quiet time / Structured free play - toys are set out for the children to play with that still |
| 14.45 - 15.00 | Story, song/nursery rhyme time - developing early Communication, Language and Literacy skills |
| 15.00 - 15.30 | Snack time - tasting different foods; sandwiches, rice cakes and breadsticks, |
| 15.30 - 17.00 | Planned activties and Messy play - developing skills in a range of activities such as; |
| 17.00 - 18.00 | Tea time and structured free choice activities - settling children toward the end of the day |
Daily Routine for 2-5 yrs
The staff ratio for 2-3 year olds is set at a minimum of 1 member of staff to 4 children
The staff ratio for 3-5 year olds is set at a minimum of 1 member of staff to 8 children.
Continuous outdoor provision between 9.30 and 17.00
Sand and water is always available indoors and out.

| 9.50 - 10.30 | STRUCTURED FREE PLAY Rolling snack time (2-3 years) Key worker group pre school activities for individual observations on a 1:1 basis (3-5 years, 2x20 mins) Number, colour, space and shape, letter recognition, Jolly phonics and days of the week. |
| 9.30 - 11.50 | FOCUSED KEY WORKER led activities for all Linked to six areas of ELG and individual development needs (3x20 mins) |
| 11.50 - 12.00 | Follow my leader/group snake walk |
| 12.00- 13.00 | LUNCH - PSRN skills Table manners, communication skills, likes and dislikes, trying new things, taking turns and sharing. |
| 13.00 - 14.00 | STRUCTURED FREE PLAY - all children Staff carrying out observations and extending children's play through opening questioning techniques. |
| 14.00 - 14.50 | FOCUSED KEY WORKER ACTIVITIES Linked to six areas of ELG and individual development needs (2x20 mins) |
| 14.50 - 15.15 | STORY TIME for all Extended literacy work for 3-5 years around the story Free play for 2-3 years linked to story stimulus |
| 15.15 - 15.45 | Group snack - PSRN skills |
| 15.45 - 16.15 | QUIET ACTIVITY - KEY WORKER LED - letters and sounds, number songs and rhymes, circle games. |
| 16.15- 16.45 | STORY TIME or FREE CHOICE READING |
| 16.45-18.00 | FREE CHOICE PLAY |
